"Jie, I feel like eating pancakes (:"
It just takes one sentence to get my lazy bum off the couch and into the kitchen. Amazing isn't it?
I've made these countless times because that sentence is no stranger to me. Don't get me wrong though, I always enjoy myself making these pancakes and seeing my sister wolf it down eagerly after. It gives me a sense of satisfaction, you know? I bet you do. I bet all bakers/cooks experience that awesome feeling when someone enjoys what you made.
This is my turn to recipe for pancakes and they've never failed. Although I'm still on the search for that perfect pancake recipe that produces fluffy pancakes similar to that of McDonalds. Can anyone recommend me one?? Pretty please with sugar on top! :D
The top two pancakes were made with the addition of about a tablespoon of Hershey's unsweetened cocoa powder to the remaining half cup of batter. I strongly recommend either increasing the batter or reducing the cocoa because the resulting mixture turned out a bit dry. Not that the pancake texture was compromised or anything. For what it's worth, I thought the cocoa pancakes were even easier to flip as they didn't spread. But they were a tad too bitter. Should have added more sugar.
Good or bad? You decide.
